Who we are
Milking Ducks is run by Nikki Davey in Australia.
This privacy policy covers milkingducks.com and the tools and services we use to run Milking Ducks, including our newsletter, interactive tools, membership and the tools we use to publish to our own social media accounts.
If you have a privacy question, email hello@milkingducks.com.
What we collect, and what for
Newsletter. If you subscribe, we collect your first name and email address so we can send you Milking Ducks emails.
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. If you unsubscribe, we stop sending you marketing emails. We may keep a record of your unsubscribe so we know not to accidentally add you back to the mailing list.
Quizzes, checks and tools. The site has, and will keep adding, interactive things including quizzes, assessments, checklists, calculators and AI-assisted tools.
If you use one and give us your details, we may collect your first name, email address and your result so we can send the result to you.
If you also choose to receive relevant Milking Ducks emails, we may use those details to send you information related to your result, the topic you were exploring or other Milking Ducks content. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Your individual answers are not kept longer than we need them to calculate or deliver your result unless we tell you otherwise at the time.
Some tools may use a third-party AI service to produce your result. Where they do, the information needed to generate the result is sent to that provider. We do not use what you type for another purpose unless we tell you at the time.
Website analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, including things like which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, what device they use and what they click.
Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology to do this.
The analytics we see are used to understand and improve the website. We do not use Google Analytics to try to identify individual visitors.
You can block analytics cookies through your browser settings or use Google's opt-out tools.
Members area. Some community resources at milkingducks.com/members are behind a shared password.
When you enter the password, a cookie remembers that you have done so, which means you are not asked to enter it again every time you visit. The cookie does not contain your personal information and expires after 90 days.
Downloads and resources. If a guide, template, checklist or other resource asks for your details before you can access it, we may collect your first name and email address so we can send or provide the resource.
If you also agree to receive Milking Ducks emails, we may use those details to send you relevant emails afterwards. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Email and enquiries. If you email us or contact us directly, we keep the information you send us and our replies for as long as we reasonably need them to deal with your enquiry or maintain a record of the conversation.
Membership. The Milking Ducks community and membership is hosted through Skool.
Skool handles things including account creation, member profiles and membership payments under its own privacy policy and terms.
We may also have access to the information you provide through the Milking Ducks Skool community as part of managing the membership.
Workshops, consulting and speaking. If you book a workshop, consulting session, speaking engagement or another service directly with Milking Ducks, we may collect the information reasonably needed to arrange, deliver and administer that work.
This may include your name, contact details, organisation, booking information and correspondence.
Our own social media tools
We publish Milking Ducks content to our own LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok accounts using a tool built into the Milking Ducks website.
The tool may be registered with those platforms as Milking Ducks website.
It connects only to social media accounts owned or managed by Milking Ducks and is used only to help us publish and manage our own content.
We do not use this tool to collect personal information about followers, commenters or other users of those platforms.
Access credentials and tokens needed to connect those accounts are stored securely and can be withdrawn by disconnecting the relevant account through the platform's settings.
If you believe we hold information about you through one of these platform connections and you would like us to check or delete it, email hello@milkingducks.com.
